I'll help you relax into a natural state of heightened awareness to allow new ways of learning and being to be accomplished. There are many forms of hypnosis; from traditional suggestions, metaphors and neuro-linguistic programming to rapid inductions.
I am also qualified in TRTP, a process described as "hypnosis on steroids". It takes 3-5 sessions, is efficient, producing positive consistent results applicable to any trauma based issue including PTSD, depression & anxiety. Read below to find out more.
Remember, hypnotherapy is a proactive therapy. How well it works depends on how willing you are to change.
The Richards Trauma Process (TRTP)
Stuck in flight, fright or freeze mode? Constantly on edge? Trauma can be different for each person and it can even be inherited through our DNA. Trauma shakes the foundations of our understanding of life, upsets our beliefs about safety, and shatters our assumptions of trust. Unresolved trauma is often the underlying cause of many of our problems.
I use a 3 step process called The Richards Trauma Process to remove the effects of trauma and stress in your life. The process enables you to:
Realise that you are safe and it is over
Be empowered
TRTP is safe and quick.
There are three steps involved:
Appointment 1: We have limiting beliefs about ourselves. These come from past experience, what others have said to us, and what we say to ourselves. Often these beliefs are not true and when we remove them we give ourselves permission to do amazing things. In appointment 1, I will help you remove your limiting beliefs and introduce your authentic self.
Appointment 2: Together we'll pull the teeth on the most stressful or traumatic events in your life. You don't have to go in to details to prevent re-traumatising. What I do, is to empower you to feel that you are safe to revisit the event as an empowered person. You control the event, the event does not control you.
Appointment 3: Seeing the future. In this appointment I guide you so that you can see the future where you are not shackled by your past. It's over and you are safe and you can now plan and visualise the future.

EFT- Emotional Freedom Technique
Focusing on emotions and meridians this technique can help clear a range of ailments and problems. By tapping on specific points these energy blocks can be removed, allowing the body to reach its natural harmonious state. Once learned, the client can apply this technique to a multitude of applications and pass the technique onto others.

I use an eclectic form of counselling which incorporates Mindfulness, Humanistic and Solution-Focused Therapy.
Solution-Focused Therapy - Focuses on solutions and is goal-orientated. Also known as 'brief therapy' it is talking style therapy that does not focus on the past, but rather on the present and future.
Humanistic - Emphasizing human uniqueness, Humanistic therapy focuses on positive attributes and individual potential. It promotes self awareness by exploring the exploring the here and the now and by analyzing and altering the clients current patterns to help them reach their potential.
Mindfulness- bringing one's attention to the present moment.
There's definitely a theme here! I focus on what's going on now for you and how you'd like to move forward. Together we can find effective solutions, create goals, and have a step by step plan giving you a sense of direction.
